Tall Grass Arts Association promotes public education and appreciation of visual art through exhibitions, classes and the Park Forest Art Fair.


The Art Fair Is Coming……..

September 21st and 22nd

10:00 am - 5:00 pm

located in down town Park Forest

A wonderful variety of artworks, including paintings, prints, photographs, ceramic, glass, wood, sculpture and fiber arts are available for purchase. The fair includes art activities for children, food vendors and live MUSIC. Free admission for the public.

Basic Figure Drawing Class

Starts: Sept 24th

This basic figure drawing class is designed for beginners who wish to develop their skills in capturing the human form through observation and practice. The course will introduce students to essential techniques, concepts, and materials used in figure drawing, providing a solid foundation for further artistic exploration.

Printmaking / Relief Carving

Starts: Sept 25th

Ends: Oct 23rd

Time: 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM

Tuition: $50 + $20 Supplie Fee

Instructor: Hannah Mobley

Join us for an engaging and hands-on printmaking class focused on the art of relief carving using linoleum. This class is designed for beginners to intermediate artists who are eager to explore the creative possibilities of linocut printing. Participants will learn the essential techniques of designing, carving, inking, and printing their own unique artworks.

Basic Bead Stringing Workshop

Date: September 28th

Time: 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM

Tuition: $35

Students will learn to string crystal, silver, and accent beads to create high-end-looking bracelets, necklaces, and collars. They will use quality materials and tools to develop skills that enhance their jewelry collection or make beautiful holiday gifts

No prior beadwork experience is required. The instructor will provide all necessary tools and materials, along with written instructions for each student. Students are encouraged to bring any silver charms of personal significance to incorporate into their projects. After registration an information email will be send in a few day.

The 2024 Annual Tall Grass Gallery Artists Exhibit

August 24 - September 22, 2024

Opening Reception on Saturday, August 24.

 Tall Grass Arts Association presents KALEIDOSCOPE, this year’s annual exhibit of works by its family of juried Gallery Artists, opening on August 24, 2024.In this large and diverse collection, seventy artists share a wide range of media, including paintings, drawings, photographs, mixed media, glass, and fiber works, from realistic images to abstract compositions.

There will be several artists in the show who have been involved with Tall Grass for many years, and who will be familiar to our visitors. Also included are some new artists to our gallery, some exhibiting their work for the very first time. We welcome all these artists, newcomers and legacy artists, who bring such a rich array of quality ideas and images to our space.
